I tried to upload the pic here so you could see approximately what I'm submitting, but no matter how small I made the file, the site kept coming back and telling me it had to be smaller. Finally, it site said it had to be less than 256 KiB, but it was rejecting a pic file that was 141 KiB. I'm no math major, but last I knew, 141 was significantly less than 256.

It's starting to feel like putting in the effort to improve Waze is going to be a fight that I don't want to bother with. It shouldn't be this difficult to volunteer my time and effort, should it?

So it sounds like the good news is that the photos I'm submitting ARE, in fact, being submitted correctly by both me and the Waze app. But the bad news is that there's an editor out there that keeps summarily deleting them without making any attempt to let me know what they believe the problem is. I'm more than happy to try to make corrections or improve the photo, but I *do* need to know what the problem is first.

I have to say that that is disappointing, for sure. It really makes me want to not bother trying to submit any photos if they're going to simply get deleted like this. It's interesting, too, that, despite Waze making it relatively difficult to become a higher-level map editor, there are still some problem editors getting through.

I will try to resubmit again this evening when I head home. I guess the good news is that I'm certainly getting experience submitting pictures....

First off, I'm really glad that I'm finally getting somewhere on this. You guys have been great and I really appreciate it!

It DID occur to me, though, that once I DO eventually get this picture uploaded and approved, it might be only a very short matter of time before the same editor simply deletes it. The whole thing is so strange. As far as I know, I haven't pissed anyone off here.... I've hardly ever had any communication with anyone at all here. The only other editor I've ever talked with before (quite a while ago and I can't remember who that was now) was *very* helpful and courteous.

What also baffles me is that it's not an easy thing to become a map editor above level one in Waze. It strikes me as extremely bizarre that someone would go to all the trouble to get a high enough editor level to be able to approve and delete things and then systematically do the damage that whoever is doing this is doing. What's up with that?? How many other people are experiencing the same thing I am but they're not the type I am (the dog-with-a-bone type!) that would pursue the issue further and try to get it resolved?

I'm an accountant that's worked in the nonprofit world for more than 30 years now. I can assure you, the damage that's done when someone stomps all over a volunteer's work always expands exponentially. And 99 out of 100 volunteers won't say anything about it. They're just walk away and the organization loses, not only that person's support forever, but the support of anyone that ever mentions that organization to them because they will be happy to share.

Anyway, I'll shut up now. I'm glad to know that you all are working to try to figure out what's going on here. In the meantime, I'll make a point of posting another picture tonight on my way out and let you all know when I do.

The adventure continues, right?

I only posted a screenshot of your request as you said you were having trouble to add a picture to the forum yourself.
If you look closely to the left it tells me I don't have edit rights in that area to either approve or reject pictures, so it's only a screenshot of your submitted picture, at the time I took it nobody had approved/rejected it yet.

But now that anyone looking here can see what you were trying to add, they should be able to provide better feedback or guesses as to why it could have been rejected.
